Custom cover design begins with two standard formats.

One format has 6 pictures on a page. The second format has 3 pictures.

Both of these proven formats were carefully designed to draw the reader's eye down the page, usually ending with the logo or other information about your company.

The cover shown below uses the popular maroon and gray colors.

  • Rather than add a logo, our client chose to use a simple line of text.
  • This client provides Medicare insurance to seniors, and wanted to have pictures of seniors on the cover.
  • The client added contact information and more branding inside the book on the title page.

The cover below was custom designed for an independent living facility.
  • The client wanted to use their own pictures.
  • They wanted to add their logo and tag line at the bottom.
  • The pictures had to be shifted up in order to fit the logo in comfortably.

Our next cover is completely custom.

  • It was designed for a company that provides home care companionship for seniors.
  • For the cover, we removed the oval, made the colors the same as the company colors, moved the pictures, enlarged the pictures, and made the logo the same size as the pictures.
  • The reader's eye also travels from the title, to the pictures, to the logo, and to the tag line.
  • Beside the cover being attractive and branding the company, their caregivers who assist the seniors also interview them and write their life experiences, using the content of The Gift of a Lifetime.

The cover shown below uses text instead of a logo.
  • The client is an accounting firm. They wanted to be more conservative in the cover design.
  • They decided to use the blue cover because it's a more calming color.
  • They also chose to list their company name and tag line, rather than a logo.

The next cover is industry related.
  • Our client is a landscaper and green was the only way to go.
  • The contrasting white background of the logo naturally makes it stand out on the cover.
  • Different shades of colors can be selected based on your needs.

The cover shown below gives an example of another color combination.
  • The maroon and gold cover is a little more bold than some of the more subtle colors.
  • The client chose to be subtle in their use of their company name and tag line.
  • Because they are a painting company, they chose to put a color picture inside the book, on the copyright page, to demonstrate their work.

Our next example is for a national client.
  • They picked their company colors of dark blue and white.
  • They wanted to keep the cover simple with the three pictures and their logo.
  • A key aspect of a national company is that they can brand the book on the cover, and then their local franchises can customize the Title page and Copyright page with local information (phone, address, email, etc.)

  • The law firm uses the book as a gift for their clients.
