How are Lasting Legacies products different?
Lasting Legacies books tie your clients to you emotionally. Nobody else offers books that capture the personal and emotional aspects of your client's life AND custom brand them specifically for you.

What is the process for producing a custom book for me?
We have an easy 7 step process.1) We talk with you and find out your needs. We don't do online ordering because each client is a custom order.
2) We explain how our products work, what they cost, and how to use them effectively. You choose if you want us to help you or not.
3) We work with you and custom design your cover, your title page, and your copyright page.
4) Our graphic designers craft your book and send you proofs by email.
5) You review the proofs and make changes until you're completely satisfied.
6) Once your proofs are approved, your custom books are printed.
7) After your books are printed, they're delivered right to your door.
What is the timing for the whole process?
- Steps 1 through 5 above can be done at the pace you choose. If you take longer on the design and review of the proofs, the design cycle will take longer.
- Once the book design is approved, it generally takes a day or two for us to finish the design details and start the printing.
- The printing process can take up to two weeks.
- Standard delivery usually takes 3-5 business days.
- The total time can take as little as three weeks if the design is done quickly.
How much does The Gift of a Lifetime cost per copy?

Is there a minimum quantity?
The Sampler Package is our smallest quantity with a minimum order of 12 books. Most clients prefer to order more books in order to take advantage of the quantity discount pricing. See our pricing page for more details
Can you substitute pictures?
Yes. We can substitute your pictures of your business, your organization, or your family, as long they're in an electronic format we can use. If you have any questions, send us a couple of pictures and we can test them at no charge to you.Contact us.
Can you design books for a family reunion?
Yes. We suggest you estimate the number of books you'll need (estimate on the low side) and send them out a few months before the reunion. Ask people to fill them out and bring them to the event. You have plenty of time to order more copies as your family talks about The Gift of a Lifetime before the event. After the event, you can order any additional copies for people who became excited about others having the book.
Are the books time sensitive?
We recommend you don't include anything in your customization that would indicate a date. That way, you can use the books as gifts and they don't "expire".
Some clients purchase books with a special message that's appropriate for various occasions throughout the year such as birthdays, weddings, holidays, anniversaries, etc.
Can you design books for my congregation?
Yes. We can design books for all types of organizations - religious, fraternal, service, military, government, employers, etc.
Can you design books as a gift for my employees?
Yes. The books make wonderful employee gifts because they're family friendly, and neutral in areas such as religion, politics, and cultural background. Give them away anytime, not just for holidays.
Do you offer discounted books for fundraisers?
Yes. In order to maximize your profits on the sale of the book, we offer special pricing. Contact us.
Can I brand the books specifically for my fundraiser?
Absolutely. And we have methods to prevent having any extra books at the end of your fundraising campaign. Contact us.
Do I have to commit to a certain number of books for a fundraiser?
No. We work with you to only print the number of copies you need. You can order a few copies and use those as "demonstrators" and then order the number you need after people have signed up.
Can I buy a single copy of the Gift of a Lifetime?
Yes. We sell single copies at our retail website. Lasting Legacies The single copies are labeled for Lasting Legacies and are not customized for your company. If you're considering buying 10 copies or more, it's more economical to get your own personalized copies.
What are the shipping costs?
Shipping is entirely dependent on weight and distance. We can give you an estimate before you place your order.
Do you charge sales tax?
We are obligated to charge sales tax where appropriate.
How do you handle national accounts?
We work with every client on a one-to-one basis, whether you're a sole proprietor or a national organization. With national organizations there are some economies of scale that we leverage for those clients.
How do you handle franchises?
Generally we work with the national organization to brand the book and then it's rolled out to the franchise owners. The franchise owners can then customize their copies for local contact information.
Sometimes the reverse has been true, where we worked with a local franchise owner and then they introduced us at the corporate level.
We can do whatever is best for your organization.
How long does it take to get books delivered?
It usually takes 3-5 business days after the printing is done.
Can I do color pages inside?
Yes. They cost a little more and the clients that use color love the result. See our price chart for more details
Can you add a business card holder?
Yes. They cost a little more. Some clients use them and some don't.
Some of our clients aren't allowed to include their name in the printed part of the book, because of compliance issues. They utilize the business card holders to brand their book.See our pricing page for more details
What's the difference between personalization and customization?
All of our books are personalized for our clients. Customization allows more in-depth branding. See our pricing page for more details
Are there setup fees?
Yes. Our accountants have yelled at us for not charging more, but we just need to cover our costs. We've kept our prices significantly below what our competitors charge.See our pricing page for more details
Do you provide your products to my competitors?
Probably. We have clients in many professions and there are multiple attorneys, accountants, insurance agents, etc. We know who our clients are and who they compete with. We design each client's book to be unique and represent their business in a manner that doesn't look like a competitor's product. We also don't show your books to your competitors, even if you're both our clients.

How many different books do you publish?
We've published 4 books that are available for our retail clients at Lasting Legacies
For promotional products we currently have 4 books (and 4 more in the works). The benefit to you is that you can give your clients a new and different book (each one branded for you) over a period of time to strengthen your relationship.

Is the content of The Gift of a Lifetime family friendly?
Absolutely. All of our books are suitable for all ages. We don't use any provocative questions or those of a sexual nature. Our books are used for generations and we don't want your grandchild to read a book and be embarrassed by the content.
